Solef® 6008 is a low molecular weight PVDF homopolymer designed to provide a balance of easier melt processing and durable fluoropolymer performance. Compared to higher molecular weight PVDF grades, Solef® 6008 offers improved flow characteristics while maintaining the chemical resistance, thermal stability, and mechanical integrity associated with PVDF materials. Its combination of processability and long-term durability makes it well suited for extrusion, molding, and industrial applications requiring reliable performance in chemically aggressive or demanding operating environments.
GENERAL EXTRUSION APPLICATIONS
Low molecular weight and stable melt behavior support efficient extrusion processing for PVDF components requiring chemical resistance and long-term durability.
INJECTION MOLDING — IMPROVED PROCESSABILITY
Balanced flow characteristics support easier molding of PVDF parts while maintaining strong mechanical and environmental performance.
INDUSTRIAL COMPONENTS & HANDLING SYSTEMS
Suitable for molded and extruded industrial components exposed to aggressive chemicals, elevated temperatures, or demanding operating environments.
WIRE & CABLE MATERIALS
Applicable in specialty insulation and jacketing applications requiring dielectric performance, flame resistance, and environmental stability.
CHEMICAL PROCESSING EQUIPMENT
Useful in corrosion-resistant components and systems requiring the inherent durability and chemical inertness of PVDF.
GENERAL-PURPOSE FLUOROPOLYMER FABRICATION
Well suited for fabrication environments requiring a balance of processability, toughness, and long-term fluoropolymer performance.
