Vapor Phase Solder Reflow (VPS) delivers uniform, oxide-free heating at a precise peak temperature set by the fluid’s boiling point, which virtually eliminates overheating and skewed thermal profiles seen in convection. It’s ideal for lead-free alloys and densely packed or high-mass assemblies, improving wetting and long-term reliability while enabling new applications in power, RF, and mission-critical electronics.
Galden® LS / HS is a line of fully fluorinated fluids specifically designed for the Vapor Phase Soldering process. Galden® VPS fluids are the industry standard because their stable, inert PFPE chemistry provides tight boiling points, excellent thermal transfer, zero residue, and long life with minimal top-up. They’re specified by virtually every VPS oven OEM and widely used across production and R&D lines, ensuring compatibility, predictable process windows, and reliable results.
